You cannot call yourself the party of Lincoln if you believe states’ rights, however oppressive to certain groups of people, should eclipse federal laws, and certainly not if you wave a confederate flag EVER.
You cannot call yourself the party of Teddy Roosevelt and also want to privatize public parks and give companies full, unfettered access to mine natural resources wherever and whenever they want for private gain.
You cannot call yourself the party of Eisenhower and also fight every government infrastructure project and want to dump copious amounts of money into the miliary and downplay the importance of equality for all races in interactions with government entities.
