My blawg has moved!

A woman stands next to her motorcycle. She has her right arm extended to the sky, and her left arm is gripping the ankle of her bent left leg. She is in a yoga pose.

My blawg has moved! My personal blawg, talking about travel, politics, personal stuff, etc., has long been at Blogspot, a product of Google, and I’ve had no problems having my blog there at all… however, that means someone else is hosting my site. And that’s fine until Google decides to get rid of this free service. And free services, no matter how popular, do go away – YahooGroups is my favorite example and so are the two platforms that I used to have my professional blog on and that are long gone.

My blawg is now on my own web site, at my own URL. I’m using WordPress, just as I do for my professional blog. And while I’m leaving the Blogspot blog up, and have imported all the old blawgs from there here, all new blawgs will appear at coyotebroad.com/blawg.

The focus of my blawg remains unchanged:

Stravaig!

Stravaig (pronounced straw vague) is an Irish/Scottish word. Means to wander about aimlessly. Probably from an even older, obsolete word, extravage, meaning to digress or ramble. I am all about stravaig, both when traveling & in conversations.

The topics this blog will cover are traveling, motorcycle adventures, camping, books read, movies seen, feeling like a foreigner in Oregon, dogs and my values. It will tie in to material on the travel section of my web site.

If you follow my blog, thank you! If you read a blog, please comment!

A shout out to Dr. Stefan Lipgens, word press expert extraordinaire, who saw my post on Mastodon about needing help on how to have two word press blogs on one web site, and volunteered his expertise to tell me how to do it.

I just moved this blog to wordpress in January 2024 – please pardon the broken links and for-position-only graphics and what not. I hope to have all this fixed by the end of February 2024.
