Imagine being fired for this kind of job performance. It’s nothing short of extraordinary, and YOU benefitted from it. This is from Bloomberg News – not known for any progressive leanings. And it’s why I remain stunned that Democrats said, “Great job, Joe! So… you’re fired!”. Commentary after the graphs:
Thank you, Joe Biden. You deserved so much better from us.
Wonder what happens in four years or later when the media and tech bros (and Putin) again decide the next Democratic nominee needs to go? And when they do it that time, will they again back down from the white guy they really wanted because people are immediately making so much noise about the candidate THEY want? Or when this happens again, will Democrats be as united in their support for one candidate as they are now (but just with social media posts – no actual voting from party members to choose the replacement)?
My problem is not that it’s now Kamala Harris. It’s about who orchestrated all this, and how, had individual Democrats not immediately and voraciously responded with a unified choice, what could have happened – and now, because of this precedent, may very likely happen in a future election.
