I had a ridiculously great year. RIDICULOUSLY GREAT.\u00a0 And if I’m going to complain about what’s bad in my life, then I also need to celebrate what’s good. And after so many bad years, I really need to celebrate this year.<\/p>\n

What made 2013 so great?<\/p>\n

I rode a motorcycle around Belize<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I rode a motorcycle around Vancouver Island<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I spent a fantastic Thanksgiving with family in Kentucky<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I had a great time at my little part-time job<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I got to see Robbie Fulks<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I got to see Lyle Lovett<\/a>.<\/p>\n

We went to a dirt track race<\/a> (me and Stefan, not me and Lyle Lovett).<\/p>\n

We finally went to a Hillsboro Hops game<\/a>.<\/p>\n

We went camping in our trailer<\/a> Blackberry Campground on the Alsea River and also the Kilchis River County Campground, both in Oregon.<\/p>\n

I continued to delight in playing guitar and piano<\/a> and now I have a dulcimer too<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I watched a LOT of TCM.<\/p>\n

I stuck with Duolingo and almost have a 365 day streak and<\/p>\n

best of all, I have a wonderful partner<\/a> and doggy<\/a> to put up with me every day.<\/p>\n

I would like to respectfully ask the Fates to please not start cackling at the ways they are going to screw with me in 2024…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
