When you find out that someone with a job you would love to have isn’t as qualified as you, it can make you angry. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
When you find out that someone with a really prestigious job has lied repeatedly about qualifications and experiences, it can also make you really angry. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
When you find out that someone has earned a prominent, powerful role only because of family connections and money, and that in reality, they are at best mediocre and, at worst, a really horrible person, it can also make you really angry. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Whether it’s a professor who turned out to have lied about credentials and have repeatedly plagiarized works and wasn’t very good at his job, or a President who has never achieved anything he claims to have achieved, has repeatedly failed at various business ventures, who lies repeatedly and associates with at least one child predator, it can be really disappointing, disheartening, exasperating and even soul-crushing to find out that a fraud has done well while you are working hard, achieving things, yet struggling to get by. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I understand the anger in both those situations. I understand the feeling of betrayal and the lack of fairness in both situations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I don’t understand the virulent passion of haters for one but not the other. I don’t understand the hypocrisy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
