And, yet, they never seem to read it.<\/p>\n<p>By contrast, people I&#8217;m not at all thinking of as I write anything read it and think I&#8217;m talking about them or to them. Fascinating.<\/p>\n<p>Someday I&#8217;m going to write a novel and offend all the people I don&#8217;t really care about, who think I wrote it about them.
