{"id":500,"date":"2011-02-07T18:42:00","date_gmt":"2011-02-07T18:42:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/coyotebroad.com\/blawg\/2011\/02\/07\/one-motorcycle-show-in-portland\/"},"modified":"2025-01-05T19:42:55","modified_gmt":"2025-01-05T19:42:55","slug":"one-motorcycle-show-in-portland","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/coyotebroad.com\/blawg\/2011\/02\/07\/one-motorcycle-show-in-portland\/","title":{"rendered":"One Motorcycle Show in Portland"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We attended the night <a href=\"http:\/\/theonemotorcycleshow.com\/show.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">One Motorcycle Show Saturday<\/a> in Portland.<\/p>\n<p>It was billed as &#8220;Produced by Thor Drake and the Sang Froid Riding Club.&#8221; It was more of an evening art show\/warehouse party than a motorcycle  show. It was in the hip  warehouse district of Portland. Hipsters sure spend a lot of time and  thought and care looking like they don&#8217;t care how they look. Apparently I  was supposed to wear all black OR vintage clothing. What was I thinking  wearing my biker clothes? I road on the back of Stefan&#8217;s bike &#8211; I do not like riding my own bike at night, and I pretty much refuse to ride my bike in the rain at night altogether.<\/p>\n<p>There were supposedly 50 vintage and modern custom  motorcycles at the show,  but I would put the number at less than that. Even so, an interesting  evening.<\/p>\n<p>My favorite was the life-sized plush motorcycle:<br \/><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/coyotetrips\/5422925783\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm6.static.flickr.com\/5134\/5422925783_5b58ba778d.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>as well as the life-sized plush PBR cans:<br \/><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/coyotetrips\/5422926581\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm6.static.flickr.com\/5216\/5422926581_12e6b6dde7.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Stefan liked the motorcycle with two engines:<br \/><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/coyotetrips\/5423531584\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm6.static.flickr.com\/5059\/5423531584_ca873f5260.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And the steam-engine motorcycle:<br \/><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/coyotetrips\/5422935799\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm6.static.flickr.com\/5255\/5422935799_25b655bb1c.jpg\" alt=\"\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A fun night. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/coyotetrips\/sets\/72157625992703606\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">More photos here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We attended the night One Motorcycle Show Saturday in Portland.
