Advice for Women Travelers:
Suggested Resources

I am very, very picky about what web sites I link to. I won't do it unless a site provides real, valuable information (not just a sales pitch), and offers high quality, essential information. I'll link to commercial sites only if I am a repeat user of the services or products and feel great about endorsing such.

When it comes to Twitter sites to follow - that's super subjective. You can always see who I'm following on Twitter - most are travel-related - but this changes frequently, as I switch up whom I'm following depending on where I'm about to go.

The following are web sites I use myself, and that I feel offer excellent information for people, particularly women, who want to travel.

Check out travel forums to see what others are saying about sites you want to visit, transporation you want to take, hotels where you want to stay, safety issues, etc. The more popular travel forums:
Recommended Adventure Travel Companies
I haven't taken any of these, but they get recommended all over:

For travel insurance, I recommend World Nomads.
