Leveraging YouTube, Vimeo, & Reels on
Facebook & Instagram
Note: Coyote Helps does not yet exist as a
nonprofit. All of the information on this web site is PROPOSED.
Please see the home page for more information about this idea
for a nonprofit.
Coyote Helps will sign off on your volunteering hours if you are an
official volunteer with us and you make a video, a "short" or "reel"
that you share publicly about
- how & why to volunteer in your geographic community
- a recent volunteering experience you have had
- all of your volunteering to date with other nonprofits and
community groups (not Coyote Helps)
You will also need to
- already have been accepted as an official
Coyote Helps volunteer and have volunteered with us for
at least 10 hours in other ways.
- not show the faces of or any identifying information about
anyone under 18 in your videos.
- not show the faces of or any identifying information about
anyone 18 or older who has not given you consent to share their
image publicly.
- not violate any copyrights with your video, including music
copyrights.
- not feature any NSFW material or information in your video.
You should have already volunteered for us at least 10 hours before
you contact us if you want to propose doing such an assignment as
part of your Coyote Helps volunteering.
Always Remember the Goal.
The primary goal of Coyote Helps is simple: to help make the
Internet a kinder place, one that is filled with opportunities and
information to help people engage with their communities and engage
in causes that are important to them, or to learn about causes that
help bring people together or build understanding among people.
Please do NOT start on any volunteering tasks
until you have received written notification from Coyote Helps that
you are now an official volunteer.
Reporting.
Reporting your activities each month
to Coyote Helps leadership is part of your commitment as a
volunteer.
Expanding Your Volunteering Contributions.
Perhaps you want to do more. Perhaps you want to learn more about
online community management, online facilitation, how nonprofits
use online communities, nonprofit marketing, etc. Perhaps you need
a work study experience in association with a university class If
so, once you have volunteered successfully with Coyote Helps for
at least three months, contact us to let us know you might be
interested in taking on additional responsibilities for a set
period of time.
