- Sense of accomplishment when things went well
- DID NOT ANSWER
- I liked doing things for people and being involved. I like feeling
needed and being able to do something for the good of the "communuity". Our
communities are what we make them, if we are involved they have to better
than if we were not.
- Companionship
- The knowledge that it was helping people.
- The feelings of being able to help other people.
- You don't have to worry about your pay check and taxes and that sort
of thing
- n/a
- Felt worthwhile.
I loved the animals.
- The feeling I received when I saw other people enjoying the work that
was involved in a project. I liked seeing their faces smile when they saw
the joys of technology. Also, I liked when people told me that they now
think twice about their actions regarding drinking and driving because of
the statistics I helped made known. I belive that knowledge is power and
people need to be informed in order to make smart decisions.
- I had the opportunity to be independent, to prepare and research
material on my own and develope the idea...then the challenge of getting
others enthused about it to the point where they would help and promote the
project, too.
- I liked knowing that I was making a difference.
- i felt young again working with the children at the shelter!

- They provided me with a greater understanding of the human race's
duties to other members of our people who are not as fortunate as
ourselves.
- I got to learn new things and meet new people
- was something different
- DID NOT ANSWER
- The feeling of involvement that it provided. All of these were
offline opportunities, so I also enjoyed the opportunity to interact with
new people, who share similar interests.
- DID NOT ANSWER
- I enjoyed knowing that I was helping others and was not being
compensated financially for assisting them. In a world so obsessed with
money, it is a wonderful feeling to be able to help others and not care at
all about monetary rewards.
- I like the organization of it all. I am a very organized person and I
also like to help people to better themselves. In the process I become a
better person.
- I like the computer part so that others can see what I have done for
the world
- I love being able to know that I have given someone something that is
uselful. I will only get out of this life what I put into it. I have made
it a lifelong resolution to give my love, hopes, strengths and support to
any and all who need it.
- the ability to help other. I know and feel in my heart that I have
made a difference in someone's life. That is my goal everyday of my life,
expecially when dealing with kids: to be as positive in their lives as I
can possibly be.
- Being a part of something that helps others. I like the comradery with
other volunteers as well as the idea that someone may benefit from my
actions.
- There's a sense of unity with volunteer work that's not found anywhere
else. It really doesn't matter whether you work alone, or with a large
group, as long as you realize the importance of the goals of the
organization, and they are important to you.
- Opportunities
- I liked visiting the elderly- I loved listening to their stories of
their children and their grandchildren. And although the hospital filing
became monotonous after a while, it was a neat experience working around
doctors, and seeing how a hospital really worked, instead of from t.v.
- I enjoy using my writing skills to promote the general welfare of
others.
- I feel very happy to be able to use some of my skills to help people
(mostly kids). The volunteering experiences also teach me to become more
motivated and responsible, and I believe these experiences help a great deal
in my personal growth.
- I enjoyed the opportunity to put my time to good use, and I love being
busy; volunteering definitely kept me on my toes. I enjoyed the aspects of
volunteering that I could do from my own home (preparing for tutoring, for
example), but I also enjoyed the personal interaction with others and
knowing that I can make an impact on someone, even if it's just one person
or just one small difference.
- It gave me the chance to help out those who need help and give back to
my community.
The website I have been maintaining also helps me gain
experience needed for jobs that I could normally not achieve without prior
experience.
- That is a good substitute to work, the environment is different in
size and expectations, I get to know other people.
- I love working with kids. I love seeing their faces when they
accomplish something. i also love answering phones. Its very fun, it
helped me to communicate with people better. And sometimes doing paper work
relaxes me.

- The fact that while I was doing the data entry I was able to keep up

was not in the work force and I did not want to be out of touch when I
decided to go back to work.
- I liked the satisfaction of seeing people be SO gracious for my help.
It was rewarding to see others benefit from small things that I can do. I
really want to share what I have with others that aren't as fortunate.

accomplishment after you've completed something. The knowledge that I've
done something to make a difference.
